Entirely self taught, I bought my first camera when I started university in Portsmouth. There I studied BSc. Computer Aided Product Design. By the time I graduated I had more professional experience as a photographer than as a designer, having completed commercial commissions for the likes of Raleigh Bikes and Ison Distribution.
Just as well really, as I graduated at exactly the wrong time as the full force of the recession gripped it's fingers around the economy and the job market. With no graduate work going, I brought forward my plans to give self employment a go.
Since then the following happened:
Runner-Up in UK's Best Photographer 2009
Winner of 50mm Category in Professional Photographer of The Year 2012
Winner of Location Flash Category in Professional Photographer of The Year 2013
Overall Winner in Professional Photographer of The Year 2013
Thanks recession, couldn't have done it without you
